Someone please tell us, is there an unspoken rule that NFL players are to beat up on their (pregnant) girlfriends and spouses? It just seems so common these days and we don't get it. Latest case in point is Miami Dolphin defensive end, Phillip Merling. The 6 foot 5, 305 pound monster athlete was arrested back in May for beating up on his girlfriend, 2 months pregnant at the time. This past Friday, the Brower State Attorney's office made the felony battery charges official. If convicted Merling could face up to 15 years in prison and thousands in fines. Yeah, Dude. Good luck with that.
