PARIS HILTON ACCEPTS PLEA DEAL, GETS 1 YEAR PROBATION + COMMUNITY SERVICE & $2K IN FINES FOR MOST RECENT COCAINE ARREST...

Remember Paris Hilton's arrest a week or so ago in Vegas? Let's recap for the Clueless: Paris and her boyfriend Cy Waits, were pulled over and arrested after cops smelled marijuana coming from their car, which was right next to them in traffic. Paris tried to roll up the window quick when she saw the officers, but not in time.

Sooo, Paris asked if she could be dealt with inside of the Wynn hotel (where her boyfriend worked as a club promoter-- they were leaving the club) because of the crowd which was drawing and the cops obliged (??). While inside of the hotel's security office, Paris reached in her purse to get her lip balm when OOPS a small bag of cocaine fell out. She claimed she thought it was gum (??) and then that it wasn't her purse (??) and then that it was her purse but the contents weren't hers (but everything else inside was) 'cause a friend who borrowed it had just returned it to her and she had no idea it was there (??).

Ridiculous right? Anyone else would have been jailed right then and there. But not Paris. Nope. And, not only that. She has since pleaded guilty to 2 misdemeanors (possession and lying to a police officer) and received 1 year probation.

Additionally, she'll pay $2,000 in fines and be accountable for 200 hours of community service. With this plea deal, Paris avoids a Felony possession charge. Here's what the Clark County DA had to say about the plea deal:

"We fashioned a resolution which would give us complete control over her future, if she does not toe the line and stay out of trouble she will do one year in the Clark County Detention Center." - David Roger (Clark Country District Attorney)

What a crock! We didn't see [on the news] or read anything about her being tested positive (or at all) for the drug(s) but it is mandatory that an arrestee be drug tested when busted, soooo we're waiting to hear about that but won't hold our breaths. This is not her first offense so where's the mandatory rehab and such for Paris? That Hilton name of hers sure goes a long way. Ugh! So frustrated with this society of ours-- geesh! Oh-- and her dude Cy who worked for the Las Vegas Wynn Hotel as a club promoter was fired as a result of all of this but we're sure he'll be fine, as long as he's with Paris that is. [Source]
