The 5th annual Black Girls Rock! Awards were filmed on Saturday and almost every industry Black Woman  worth her salt showed up to the Paradise Theatre in the Bronx to represent. The event came from the brilliant mind of DJ Beverly Bond in an efforts to combat Negative images of African American Women in the media as well as serve as a mentor program for young girls.
