BP IS NOT DENYING CLAIMS BUT NOT PAYING THEM OUT EITHER?

So, the Gulf oil leak is nicely plugged up with mud and cement, and the clean-up effort is sort of moving along (a whole other story) but now we're learning they aren't denying the 145,000 claims they've received from distressed and displaced workers, but they're not paying them all out either. Reportedly, they have so far paid out $324 million dollars without denying one claim. Yeah, it sounds good until you dig a little deeper. That's where you'll find the dung.

BP OIL SETS UP $20 BILLION DOLLAR FUND FOR OIL SPILL VICTIMS, STILL UNDER CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION...

 

BP was "convinced" by the Obama Administration (after a four hour meeting) to set up a $20 billion dollar escrow account to settle claims from those victimized by the economical and environmental damages caused by the spill. Even still, the oil company is under criminal investigation for its negligence.  White House Energy Czar, Carol Browner, and White House Spokesperson, Robert Gibbs take credit for securing the monies from BP and also claim it's not "the ceiling, or the floor" with regards to how much they will ultimately be out of pocket. BP has also "voluntarily" agreed to pay out $100 million to the families of the 11 workers who were killed in the rig explosion.

Regarding the affected sea-life, it is reported that dolphins and sharks are showing up in masses in shallow waters off of the Florida coast; Mullets, crabs, rays and small fish are congregating by the thousands off an Alabama pier; and, oil soaked birds are crawling into marshes where they disappear forever. Additionally, fish and other wildlife are swimming for oxygen and also clustering in cleaner waters, which is absolutely not a good sign. These fools need to burn for this! [Huffington Post]

PRESIDENT OBAMA TALKS GULF OIL SPILL DURING NATIONAL ADDRESS...

In case you were watching the Laker/ Celtics game like we were. Our president discusses the Gulf oil spill. He is facing off with BP execs live tomorrow. Should be good. They got some 'splainin' to do!

OIL IS SPILLIN' AND GUSHIN' EVERYWHERE WE TURN, WHAT'S REALLY GOIN' ON???

There was another oil spill recently reported but this time in Alaska. And, of course there's that mess in the Gulf.  Ocean life (sea animals) are suffering (dying?), poisons are in the air, the sea water...well, fuggettabout it. There's just so much going on with this tragedy, we can't keep up (don't want to?) Well? Any clue of what's behind all of it? Mishaps? Hmmm. We got nothin'-- but we know we will see the gas prices shoot through the roof. This is a perfect excuse for such a monstrosity. This world is going to shit!
