A U.S District (Federal) Judge has put her foot on the controversial provisions in Arizona's Immigration Law 1070b, which goes into effect tomorrow.
The judge has blocked provisions in the law which she says can lead to deportation, such as; requiring immigrants to carry their documents at all times, prohibiting undocumented job seekers from soliciting work in front of public places (think Home Depot), and authorizing officers to exercise deportation when making unwarranted arrests for other crimes.
These are the parts of the controversial bill which critics say legalize racial profiling-- the reasons for all the negative emotion surrounding it.
