CALIF WATCH: OBAMA STUMPS FOR BOXER & BROWN AT USC...

After an introduction by Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx (who warmed up the crowd of 37, 500  before the President's arrival), President Obama rolled up his sleeves and urged voters to vote Democrat. His efforts to galvanize voters for Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer and Gubernatorial candidate Jerry Brown (who face elections on November 2nd) was a reminder that the upcoming election is one for which the Democrats must fight, and fight hard. With the Tea Party's efforts to "take their country back" Democrats must make every effort to keep the grass roots momentum going, and Obama reminded the crowd of this. He encouraged the tens of thousands present, from students to union workers to small businessmen to "fight on" and encouraged them to "do just like you did in 2008, defy the conventional wisdom," This is a crucial time for the Democratic contenders with just 11 days left and the threat of a Republican House take-over looming. The President has since moved on to Las Vegas but the spirit of his visit is still in the air. Hopefully, it will linger until November 2nd. Save the date!
