HOUSE VOTE RESTORES EXTENDED UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS FOR MILLIONS OF AMERICANS...

2.5 million Americans abruptly cut off from their unemployment insurance benefits at the beginning of June, will finally see their benefits restored...and in retroactive payments. This comes in the wake of a nasty fight between Democrats and Republicans surrounding who should spend what in light of the bloated U.S. deficit. Republicans blocked the extended benefits citing crazy accusations that unemployment benefits make the unemployed lazy. Another supposed concern was that it was adding unwanted debt to the already mounting deficit. Instead, they felt approving tax cuts for the wealthy would be a better solution, which didn't sit well with the Dems.

While all of this back and forth was going on, millions of Americans (most unemployed due to  the 2007-2009 financial and mortgage industry crash) are trying to keep roofs over their heads and food on their tables with a sudden loss of aid. Now that the benefit extensions have been restored, the question is: when will the checks roll out? Reports say it's a state by state situation but there are no documented answers as of yet. 2. This is your Republican concept in action- While in power- spend spend spend the surplus the Democrats left you- Then once you have made a pig sty of a country's bed... and don't remain in office- Defuse, confuse and deny any actions that caused the mess in the first place- Say NO to spending to help others- No to any improvement to the country not by a Republican and No to anything that will cause the masses to see what the game really is-
Unemployment checks are the quickest way for our country to get on a spending path- the money goes directly back into the market to pay for the things people need- Every economist says this - so remember these things when others discuss the deficit with you. The unemployed mostly did not make themselves unemployed- the housing failure and the games the financial industry played did- so buckle up Democrats and fight - you need to show us why we should support you- get some B*lls and fight

  3. @Anonymous Thank you for your intelligent commentary. We love the diversity of our readership! Not to take away from our dear Allen, but the passion of your comments is very motivating. You are so right on the money with this one. Those Republican pigs will do whatever it takes to get their way, even at the cost of the American people. Unfortunately, they can't see that that type of shenanigans does not work. This is why they are the losing side. And, like Allen said, the unemployed did not vote to be unemployed but thanks to the Bush Administration that's what many got. They are victims!
