SHIRLEY SHERROD GOT THE SHAFT BUT NOW SHE'S GOT THE POWER...(VIDEO)

If you haven't yet heard about government worker Shirley Sherrod being unjustly fired, we are glad you at least come here to BlazeAdams247. My gosh! So, Shirley Sherrod, a now former employee of the USDA under the Dept. of Agriculture, was abruptly fired after a right wing website posted a snippet of her speech to the NAACP, which indicated racially charged comments about a white farmer. When word got out about the video, she was forced to resign by Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. Not put on leave until further investigation, but forced to resign. Not only that but without seeing the entire video the NAACP publicly backed the forced resignation, and reportedly so did the Obama Administration.

 Ok, fine. But, the problem was that when the full video was released, it was obvious that She
rrod's speech was actually promoting racial reconciliation. There was immediate backlash against Tea Party blogger, Andrew Breitbart, who originally posted the video clip, as well as the NAACP and the White House and it's been a media circus ever since. Obviously, the NAACP and the Dept. of Agriculture Secretary (who claims the White House had no say in his decision to force her resignation) jumped the gun our of fear. And, Breitbart who is a Tea Partyer and has it in for the NAACP, should have never been given that much consideration.

The good news is, everyone has come to their senses. Sherrod has since been apologized to by everyone involved, and not only offered her job back, but a new and unique position which undoubtedly has a little extra cushion in the monetary department. The smart woman that she is, she told them she'd think about it. We don't blame her. Make them sweat, Girl. And, this should be a lesson..or really several lessons to all: Don't let fear drive you. Don't believe everything you see. Don't make big decisions without doing your homework. Oh-- and don't let racial prejudices make you do dumb things. Yeah, that one was for you Breitbart.
