PARIS HILTON ARRESTED IN SOUTH AFRICA FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION, CHARGES DROPPED AFTER CO-DEFENDENT PLEADS GUILTY

Sooo, on Friday, while the Netherlands and Brazil World Cup Teams battled it out, Paris Hilton was arrested for [suspicion of] smoking weed in the Nelson Mandela stadium. Paris's charges were dropped after her co-accused, Jennifer Rovero admitted to possessing the herb and pleaded guilty to the charges. She was sentenced to $1000 rand ($152 U.S.)  fine or 30 days in jail. Not surprisingly, she paid the fine.


A PR rep for Paris stated the incident was a "misunderstanding".  What she didn't confirm was that Paris has a good friend in Jennifer for taking the rap. Being arrested for drugs, and especially in another country, can be tragic. It could have turned out much worse for both of them. But then again, it's Paris "I live a charmed life" Hilton. Ha!
