Yep, Tyler Perry reveals details about his very difficult childhood, one that included "devastating sexual abuse" according to Oprah's website. Per the preview, Perry states that he was molested more than once by men and a woman that he was close to. He also reveals that he once blacked-out afterward for three days, stating "It's so disgusting!" He disclosed that he was molested in 2009 in an open (email) letter to fans after being flooded with emotions after screening the movie "Precious", which he co-produced. His visit to Oprah has a brighter note though-- the upcoming premiere of his movie "For Colored Girls Who Committed Suicide When the Rainbow Wasn't Enuf" based on the classic book of the same title. We must say that it's good to see someone from the depths of such great adversity come out of with such magnanimous success. He represents the power of creating your own destiny instead of letting other people and circumstances dictate who you are, and we appreciate him for it.

Agree, Blaze.. His experience was indescribable but has been repeated in other lives in the dark, evil places where that can happen...That he has the ability to share this so others can actually see for themselves that they too can make a life after what they experienced. Just for his being a role model for that in and of its self makes him a hero for all. That he has done so many things positively for others is just icing on the cake.
