JUDGE OVERTURNS PROP 8 RULING IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, SAYS IT'S UNCONSTUTIONAL...

U.S. District Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker overturned Prop 8 in CA today (ban on gay marriage), deeming it unconstitutional. She also ordered the state to stop enforcing the ban immediately. Following her ruling, she then stayed the decision until Friday (with anticipation of appeals), and may enforce a longer stay depending on the number of appeals. Sounds like progress. Yup! Former Fugee and Haiti relief-rescue extraordinaire has decided it's time for him to run for president of his native home-base. "I'm being drafted by the youth," Jean said in an interview with Time on Tuesday.

Whether or not that's the case, its said to become an inter-family election battle if his run indeed happens. Word is, Clef's uncle, a former Hatian Ambassador, is up for the seat. But despite the seniority, the youth loves Clef. He was appointed Ambssadar-At-Large in 2007 largely due to his strong following and influence. And, he has people with political influence behind him too. One of his main backers even being hailed as "a Newt Gingrich" type.

It wasn't on the news and we soon realized it was some sort of bad joke. Well, Bill agrees and wants it to stop. Apparently, this isn't the first time this has happened. He's even going on Larry King tonight. Not sure if he has a project, or if it's just to dispell the rumor, but one thing is for sure: Bill Cosby is hot again. Hmmm. Was it an inside job? We have to wonder. His Twitter page has over 1 million followers now and we doubt if his numbers were that high before the rumor of his death set off Twitter Trending topics yesterday.  These 'ethics violation' stories, especially Rangel's, have been circulating for the past couple of weeks, so when Maxine Waters' charges became "official", we couldn't pass on commenting. Let's start with Charlie.

Charlie Rangel is an old-school Harlem, NY politician who is now being charged with 13 ethics violation charges by the House Ethics committee, following a 2-year investigation. These 13 ethics charges include tax evasion, misuse of , and exchanging favors for funds and failure to report income from various entities, among them.

LINDSAY LOHAN, OUT OF JAIL AND RIGHT INTO REHAB...

Lindsay Lohan was released from jail after 13 long days of serving hard time, ya'll. (NOT!) Word is, she was released from Lynwood Correctional at about 1:35AM. Though the paps were eagerly awaiting her exit for the money shot, they were sadly disappointed, as she discreetly got into a black SUV and then whisked directly to UCLA Medical Center for her mandatory rehab treatment. Womp womp. We look forward to seeing how jail and rehab affects Lindsay's life in the near future. Hopefully, she can get her acting career out of the dumpster and do what she does best-- act.

ALICIA KEYS AND SWIZZ BEATZ TIE THE KNOT...

Yup, after all the rumors of scandal and debauchery, and a well documented pregnancy, the two music industry domineers have finally gotten hitched. They were married on Saturday in a private home in Corsica,
Piantarella France, where a host of celebrities (such as U2's Bono and Queen Latifah) joined them in celebration. Dr. Deepak Chopra, the couple's friend, conducted the nuptuals. They're first child together is due in November.

 Of course, if you've followed the drama which ensued around their relationship, which began in 2008, you know that Swizz, who's real name is Kasseem Dean, 31, is recently divorced from ex-wife, singer Mashonda, with whom he has one child, 3 years. He has another child, 9, from previous relationship. If you believe the rumors, he also has a toddler with a woman in Europe who is making claims that Swizz is a dead-beat dad. Supposedly, the DNA test (which Alicia went with him to take) said "you are the father" but he has yet to take responsibility. But we don't know if all of that is actual truth. Just thought we'd throw it in for good measure. *wink* Anywhoo-- Congrats to the couple! May karma give them a pass :)

Jay Z and his protoge' Kanye West were spotted having a cozy dinner (hahaa!) at Nello's restaurant, a popular Italian eatery located on NY's upper East Side. Reportedly, it's one of Jay and Bey's favorite places to dine. Kanye has been on a world-wind media/ promotion tour for his soon to be released album, Power, which has included a new Twitter account where he communicates things like, "CASH IS KING" "But keep good credit", and "Dating models has taught me to tolerance for small dogs and cigarettes" (paraphrased).
