We love fashion and sports so the Kentucky Derby has always been an eye-catching event. However, we were especially interested in this year's competition after learning one of the favorites to win was Sydney's Candy, owned by diet mogul, Jenny Craig. We found it fascinating that Jenny Craig would own horses...champion race horses to boot. We know owning a horse is expensive, let alone a stable of champions. Jenny's pimp game is fierce. She basically has the likes of Kirsty Alley and Valerie Bertinelli paying her stable bills! How gangsta is that? Jenny Craig. Who knew?
Per People.com:
The diet empire mogul herself owns a champion racehorse, Sidney's Candy, named for Craig's late husband Sid, who died in 2008 – and the animal, one of many champions bred by Craig at her 237-acre Rancho Santa Fe racing stables and breeding and training center in California, is favored 5:1 to win the Kentucky Derby Saturday, according to the big race's official Web site.
Jenny's horse, above didn't win (or even place) but we're sure she wasn't betting the farm on it. Jenny's got stacks!
