WHERE ARE ALL OF THE FEMALE EMCEE'S? NEW BET DOCUMENTARY EXPLORES... (VIDEO)

1998 was a good year for female emcee's and Vibe magazine validates this with these old school covers from said year. But what has happened to the female emcee in the years following? Where is she today? Sure, there's Nicki Minaj, but she has Li'l Wayne and crew behind her (in other words: she's a developed/manufactured artist pushed by the hottest rapper on deck). She can't be the only female rapper in existence with that "IT" factor. Why is it so hard for female emcee's to get on? Well, the documentary, "My Mic Sounds Nice: The Truth About Women and Hip Hop" premiered on BET last night, and it explores all of these questions and then some, with some of rap's biggest names speaking out on the subject. RIHANNA GETS OFFICIAL WAX FIGURE, TOO HOT TO SHOW UP FOR REVEAL...

Washington D.C.'s Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum revealed Rihanna's wax figure this morning. Rihanna didn't show up for the unveiling but she did get a sneak peek last week (below). We think it was more like a pre-reveal approval that she gave. Imagine if it wasn't up to par. Jay Z and all his goons would've burned the place down. Well, maybe they wouldn't have gone to those extremes--
but you get us, right?

HA HA HA @ PARIS HILTON! ARRESTED FOR DRUGS, AGAIN... NOT HERS -- AGAIN! (VIDEO)

So, by now, surely you've heard about Paris Hilton's drug bust this weekend, right? Okay, well for The Clueless: Paris was in Vegas with her boyfriend Cy Waits (a club promoter for the Wynn Hotel) and they were pulled over on the Vegas strip after police pulled on the side of them and "smelled a strong marijuana scent coming from their car". They thought it was suspicious when Paris quickly rolled up her window. Per the police report, when they were pulled over and asked to step out of the car, Paris said she was embarrassed because a crowd was forming. The nice officer then took her into a hotel security office where she said she had to badly use the bathroom but not before desperately needed lip balm. She (or the police?) reached in her purse for the lip balm causing a little sack of cocaine to fall to the floor. Duh! She told the officer she thought it was gum. Then she said it wasn't her purse, yet the $1300 in cash, the credit cards were all hers. Just not the purse and the cocaine. Hahahaha! She's since been charged with Felony drug possession and is facing up to 4 years in jail (like that'll happen) and a $5000 fine. Pop the Trunk for the news clip... Finally, a movie we can relate to! Have you seen it yet? BABIES, directed by Thomas Balmes, has no dialogue, no script, it's just pure unadulterated Baby action. Many reviewers love it but there are others who think it's a little "slow". Judge for yourself by the above trailer. The description below is from You Tube:

BOXING CHAMP JAMES TONEY DEFEATED BY MMA CHAMP RANDY COUTURE-- WILL BOXING EVER BE ABLE TO RECOVER FROM THE MMA TAKEOVER? (VIDEO)

To boxing fans, James Toney IS an "Ultimate Fighter". But unfortunately the one-of-a-kind champion pro boxer who has earned middleweight, super-middleweight, cruiser-weight, and heavyweight titles wasn't able make the move from boxing to MMA the way he and his fans had hoped. Toney fought MMA champ Randy Couture and got taken down and defeated within the first five seconds of the first round. He came out with his fists up like he was in a straight up boxing match, but Couture got him with a "low single" ankle clip and Toney went down like a gunshot victim. James Toney, 42, wasn't even able to get off one punch. Nope, the one punch he claimed would take Couture, 47, down wouldn't see the light of day.
