A fire, which has been raging west of Palmdale, CA (called the "Crown Fire"), is said to be threatening all of Southern California's power supply. The fire is burning in Agua Dulce near the 14 freeway, very near the power lines that supply all of So. Cali's power. It has been burning out of control since about 3PM Thursday (yesterday). Firefighters are aggressively trying to prevent this from happening but as of 9AM is only 5% contained. Road closures were enforced at about 9PM last night, and mandatory evacuations have ensued. Two other fires near the 14 freeway were also burning nearby but were both knocked down last night. Hopefully, the same will be the case for this Crown Fire soon. [
