VIRGIN GALACTIC SPACECRAFT MAKES ITS FIRST CREWED FLIGHT, TESTS THE WATERS FOR COMMERCIAL SERVICE...

A few weeks ago, we posted that Richard Branson's Virgin America had announced $200 flights between Canada, L.A., and San Francisco dubbed 'Air Drake' after Canadian born rapper Drake, who is the face of the Canada/California flights. Exciting right? Well, hold onto your seats kids 'cause Branson has more goodies up his sleave. Virgin also has a division called Virgin Galactic which focuses on commercializing space travel, and their VSS Enterprise has just made its first manned flight.

It's actually sub-orbital space travel... which means it doesn't go all the way into orbit. Not yet, at least. To many people, that little fact doesn't matter, as they (as many as 300 so far) have already purchased their $200,000 ticket. Test runs will continue throughout 2011. Are you ready? Go on, add it to your bucketlist. You know you want to! [Huffington Post]
