BACK TO FANTASIA, WE CHANGE OUR VERDICT...

So, yesterday we posted Fantasia's overdose story and went all kinds of OFF about cheating men and how she was most likely manipulated by this married man, Antwaun. ('Cause that's what cheating married men do, you know?) Anyway, after seeing the story detailed on Nancy Grace last night, we have since changed out verdict. Turns out, Fantasia had words with the wife who was obviously fightin' for her husband. That's enough for Fantasia to know she had no business dealing with him, period.
Paula Cook with son, Paula and Atwaun Cook
Even if she did believe they were divorcing, it was clear that the woman was still fighting for her man, and the marriage-- and that knowledge puts Miss Fantasia in a "home-wrecker" jacket, for sure.  A married couple mutually divorcing who have both gone on with their lives, and have worked out cordially parenting the kids is one thing. And, if she believed this was the case because of him lying and manipulating the situation, then she should not be held accountable. BUT, there are tape recordings of Fantasia telling the wife, "he don't want you no more, that's why he's here with me," and the rest hasn't been aired (yet) but it was probably along those same lines. And, in this case, she should have instead told Antwaun to get his ish together and find her when the divorce was final. She was wrong! (Pop the Trunk for lawsuit details...)

And, too bad for Fantasia for not recognizing the error of her ways, 'cause now the wife is suing her for "luring her husband away from the marriage with her money and fame". The actual charge is, “criminal conversion” which is a law against ”exerting unauthorized use or control of someone else’s property.” And, unfortunately for Fantasia, this lawsuit is legitimate and valid in the state of North Carolina. One of the few states that recognizes such a claim.  Actually, this is the case in 6 states: NC, Il, MS, NH, NM, and UT. (Keep this in mind if you're in the same boat!) And, word is, wife Paula is going for broke. For Fantasia to be broke, that is. And, this includes property. Eeek!

Reportedly, Paula Cook is suing Fantasia for "everything she's got." She has multiple sex tapes, phone recordings, and let's not forget she and Antwaun were pictured couple-up together by paparazzi on many occasions. She read the lawsuit against her the same day she overdosed. This leads us to believe that she is anguished about the possibility of losing everything she's worked so hard to achieve. She is the sole supporter of a family of six, and has a 9 year old daughter. She has lost millions in the past, and before idol was flat out broke. We're sure the thought of this woman winning this lawsuit is scaring the ish out of her. Was it worth it, Dear?

And, on top of everything her album is due out August 24th. Wonder if Paula wins will she reap the benefits of this too? After all this public scandal, the album may be a hit. Or, on the other hand, the possible public backlash could 'cause it to be a total flop. In which case, they all lose. Lol! We can't help but wonder if Antwaun and Paula are in this together. Hey, people do crazy ish when money is involved. We wouldn't be surprised. Surely, Fantasia has learned huge lessons here. Staying tuned for this one.

  4. That's a pretty crazy law & my opinion how Fantasia gonna hav to pay cuz ur husband don't want to be faithful? What is dis world comin too? Only 1 dat should pay is the husband because he's the 1 that committed to her, not Fantasia!

  5. I agree with tabrinaj....
That law was obviously put into place when someone with power needed it. I feel for Fantasia for falling for someone like him, but unfortunately, many of us have fallen for something. Hopefully, she doesn't fall so far she can't get back up. And the only ones who win in this whole mess will be the lawyers.....because even if the wife wins the lawsuit and money, there are lots of painful and stressful roads ahead for her and the child or children will suffer along with them all.....

  6. For some reason I cannot muster up any sympathy for Fantasia with this MESS. She knew better. I know as women we sonmetimes fall in love with our hearts and forget all reasonings but she was with a MARRIED MAN. If he really wanted to divorce his wife...HE COULD HAVE and FANTASIA has the means and connects to make that happen. What upsets me the most about all this is that Fantasia is a MOTHER...why would you want to end your L.I.F.E over a man?....what about your daughter? What do you think would have happened to her. How could you put the love of that man over the love of your own child which is what you did when you tried to take your L.I.F.E. I really feel that this husband and wife team were in cahoots because Fantasia was an easy prey. I really do hope all goes well with this MESSY SITUATION and that Fantasia is really able to move past this and get on with her and her daughterss L.I.F.E. She is a praying woman and she knows GOD and has support fron her family and people who love her. She is going to need that. FANTASIA NEXT TIME SWITCH TO SPRINT...smh.

  7. Sha has SPOKEN! Chuuuch! LOL @ "Switch to Sprint!" Agreed with your comment! (Mariko and Tabrina, yours too) At first we thought she was "tricked" into it (it can happen!) that's one thing, but to argue with the wife and basically know that you are the factor behind his leaving his family makes you guilty as charged. Sex tapes? Tattoos? Vacations documented by paparazzi? C' Mon! But yea, why not sue the husband? Don't think the lawsuit is right at all. But it might make folks think twice from now on. Check your state laws!

    Thanks for stoppin'!

  8. I almost HATE to add a comment in here with all these women(cousins,friends,etc)...lol...but I couldn't help but "HOWL WITH LAUGHTER" after reading...

"And, word is, wife Paula is going for broke. For Fantasia to be broke, that is. And, this includes property. Eeek!"

    Bwahahahahahahaha...SAVE ME LAWRD!!!
Blaze if I was drinkin' a beer you'd owe me
homie...because I SURELY would have spit it
    everywhere!! LMBO!!!

Come on let's be serious for a moment here.
If Mz.Fantasia KNEW that this man was married...WHY in GOD'S name would you EVER taunt his wife??? That's just a case of the
"Chickens coming home to Roost" or
"So as ye REAP...so SHALL ye SOW". What was the point? Really.
Here you have a "fairly" successful young artist meets "fione" married guy(I guess that was her thought process...I really don't know nor care but you know how some women are) that somehow develops a "perpetual burning" somewhere in her loins to the extent that she tells the wife..."He don't want you"?? Oh man, in the words of Scooby Doo...a "ruh roh" is in order here. What the hell was she thinking?
In my mind...she DESERVES everything that could come her way, in
terms of legal backlash, in regards to sleeping with this married
man. Truthfully she should KNOW better. Come on SON.
Now we can sit here and criticize the the law in N.C. till the cows come home...BUT...can she beat it? No. Hell no. Not with that kind of evidence to PROVE the PLAINTIFF'S case. It's gonna SUCK to be Fantasia in...oh...I'd say two years from now. BIG TIME.

  9. Haahahaaha! daMon you're right. As ridiculous as it is, the law is what the law is. It will be interesting to see what happens with this. Fantasia better plead insanity and call it a day. Lol! Mr. Cook had a huge role in this though, and he should not be allowed to escape consequence. What if the cheating spouses in these cases were required to do jail time? Would he have thought twice before going there with Fantasia? He knew what he was doing the moment they first made contact. It might have taken her a little longer to figure things out but at the end of the day, she knew too. The day she read the claim against her was the day she overdosed. That says a lot. We don't know what REALLY happened. All of the "evidence" can be taken out of context. But did she really got a tattoo of his last name? Which he shares with his wife and children?? Insanity...
