Soooo, a little birdie sent us a link to the mixtape, "The Takeover", and we've been in B.R. heaven ever since! You remember, B.R., right? Yepperrrr... that's right, it's Ray Charles's grand daughter (wonder if she gets tired of that?) who is definitely on a mission to takeover this music game. And, based on what we've seen and heard so far, she's ready! The mixtape is doing it's job, which is to showcase the artist's talent and create a buzz. And, though "The Takeover" is mostly that of her covering hits like Drake's "Fancy", Alicia Keys' "Unthinkable, and Ciara's "Pretty Girl Swag", don't get it twisted-- each cut has it's own B.R. spin on it. So we're wonderin' why nobody's signed this chick yet? ((Ay, Jay-Z, are you listening??!!)) Doesn't she remind you a little of Aaliyah? Either way, she definitely has "IT" and if she keeps going (and surrounds herself with the right (good) people she's bound to reach Star Status. With that said, mission accomplished, we're sold!
