Just landing at the Ataturk airport in Istanbul, A.I. aka Iverson is escorted through a MOB of press and supporters on November 8, 2010. The look on his face (like above) is classic. You'd think there was a gat to his back.

Iverson's arrival is just in time for his ceremony (he played host and the guest of honor) the following day in Instanbul...

VIDEO: ALLEN IVERSON ARRIVES IN TURKEY LIKE A ROCK STAR + CHEERED AT TURKISH SOCCER GAME...(WATCH)

Yep! It's official! Former NBA star Allen Iverson is now playing in Turkey, and the above is his arrival this past Friday. How did this even happen? And, they love him too! Check the video where throngs of fans chant his name like he's the Messiah. But, is it just us? Or, does he look hella scared while being shuffled through the airport? And, the fake smiles at the soccer game (below) are killer. What has he gotten himself into over there? He is said to be the first and greatest NBA player to ditch the NBA to go overseas. We realize he signed a 4 million dollar contract but did he need the money that bad? Turkey doesn't seem like the most desirable place to be, after all. Iverson stated that he wants to prove he can play high-level ball anywhere, not just the NBA, but we're not buyin' it. We're guessing he lost a bet. O.o
