Per the L.A. Times, at least eight (8) Bell, CA officials have been arrested and will be criminally charged by prosecutors. No details of the arrests (who or why) have yet been disclosed but a press conference is set to take place this morning which will disclose more info. This news comes on the tail of learning that former Bell City Manager, Robert Rizzo, used public funds to issue loans to more than 50 city officials including himself. His loans, specifically, are said to have been in excess of $90,000. It's been two months since investigations began surrounding the revelations that top city officials' salaries were exorbitant and at the expense of residents. Voter fraud, along with a host of other falsifications, is also under investigations. More info will be updated as it becomes available. ***[Update Available]
