"Basketball Wives" season 2 is approaching and with that comes 2 new "wives". Up first is Tammy Roman (in red above). If you're old enough, you may remember her from the first cast of The Real World Los Angeles (we do!) after which she married basketball player Kenny Anderson. She divorced him 4 years later and as a result was awarded 1/2 of his income and assets, in addition to $8500 per month in child support. Kenny has a total of 7 children, so it's not surprising that Kenny fell behind in his child support payments. She reportedly sued him for back-payments to the tune of $100k. Kenny has since filed for bankruptcy. Fun fact: Kenny is the father of 2 of Spinderella's kids.
Next up is Ashley Walker, longtime girlfriend/fiance' of NBA free agent Rafer Alston. Rafer most recently played for the Miami Heat before he was benched on suspension. So, basically we have an ex-wife, and a not-quite wife. And, we don't see Gloria or Suzie in the group pic above. Hmmm. It has been reported that Gloria will show up later but she agreed to only shoot with Suzie so that could be why. We shall soon see though.
Speaking of Gloria, she appeared in court with baby's dad Matt Barne's for his arraignment on his domestic violence charges brought against him earlier this month. The victim's name was never disclosed but we assume it's Gloria as the police report stated he and a longtime girlfriend were in a brawl which resulted in injuries to both parties. Almost immediately after, Gloria made a statement through a pr rep that Matt never harmed her or their children. Matt took to Twitter to say to believe what your eye's didn't see. His hearing addressing his felony domestic abuse charges and obstructing justice charge was delayed and is now set for October 18th. We'll keep you posted. [
