What a phenom. I dare anyone seeking "The Spirit" or something to just rock their souls, to YouTube Fantasia. Any Fantasia videos, you will love, BUT more specifically, her American Idol victory.
After watching that, search for her name along with Patti Labelle. She did a Lady Marmalade that was so SICK that the next time I saw LaBelle, who is doing a reunion tour, they did it with the spin Fantasia put on it. how big is that? Fanny, as I affectionately call her also rocked the house for Mama Ree Ree - Queen of Soul Ms. Aretha Franklin. It was soul stirring and Ree Ree was pleased.
When Fanny did "Superstition" for Stevie Wonder, he could hardly contain himself. That says a lot that he is blind, but could FEEL how hard she was rocking it. He seemed like he could hardly wait for the song to finish before launching himself out of his seat for a standing ovation for my gal.
She is the real deal. Get some of her energy!!!
