HEALTH WATCH: Deadly Airborne Fungus Travels to Oregon from Canada, California at Risk (VIDEO)

Be afraid, be verrrry afraid! Scientists are warning that a potentially lethal strain of fungus called Cryptococcus grattii has recently hit the Northwest (Oregon, Washington), and California could be next. There were 21 cases analyzed in the NW and 6 of those cases resulted in death(25% death rate). It's being reported that this strain, unlike it's predecessor, can attack and affect a healthy immune system. Oh-- and it's airborne!

Some of the symptoms of C. grattii are chronic coughing, sharp chest pain, shortness of breath, headache, fever and weight loss. The fungus can be treated but not prevented. And, there is no vaccine at this time. It has also been found in about 50 cases of cats and dogs but they say it isn't passing between humans and animals. The origin of the airborne fungus is unknown and as of yet untraceable. It is said to have been airborne for at least 10 years now having traveled from British Columbia/Canada to now Oregon and WA, potentially hitting California next.

Doctors and Scientists are leery about the news getting out for fear of people with head-cases, or people who only imagine they have it after hearing the symptoms, unnecessarily taxing already under staffed healthcare facilities. These fears cause them to respond to the mayhem with, "Overall it's a low threat." Well, we ain't buyin' it! Did we mention that antibiotics won't work here? There's NO vaccine! Imagine that new Spring and Summer look is a gas mask and rubber gloves. What has the world come to? *sprays, lysol*  We advise that you first watch the video so you're better informed, next wash your hands (constantly), stay away from folks with the above listed symptoms, and pray dog-dangit! We don't know about you but we're staying inside...
