CA DEATH ROW INMATE SCHEDULED TO RECEIVE LETHAL INJECTION SPARED DUE TO LACK OF STATE RESOURCES...

Thirty years after his death sentence for raping and murdering 15 year old Susan Jordan, Albert Greenwood Brown had his scheduled execution canceled. It was to take place on Wednesday and would have been the first death by lethal injection executed in California in 5 years. Nope, he wasn't given a last minute reprieve-- in fact, his clemency was denied by Governor Schwarzenegger. Actually, what had happened was, the state ran out of the legal injection serum, and the company that makes it says they won't have another batch available until early next year. They are the only company in the country which makes the injection serum. Womp. womp. Of course, the victim's family have expressed outrage. Governor Schwarzenegger also spoke his two-cents by saying, "He was convicted and sentenced to death by a jury of his peers, and now 30 years later the state is still unable to carry out his execution. It is absurd that our legal system continues to prevent the state from carrying out the will of the people." Hmph. Good to know that he cares. [Source]
