Historic Moment: Ohio Supreme Court Swears in First Black Female Justice...

Justice Yvette McGee Brown being sworn in by Governor Strickland, while her husband, Tony, held the bible...
Yep, Yvette McGee Brown, 50, was sworn in on January 8th, to serve as the fist African American Ohio Supreme Court Justice. She succeeds Justice Maureen O'Conner who was Ohio's first female Supreme Court Justice. Smartly, Justice Brown's said: "It's another barrier broken, it strengthens our democracy in visible and demonstrative way by the diverse fabric that we create here today on our states highest court". Glad to see Ohio making moves! Congrats to her! And, us! *claps* *whistles *bows* *dramatically closes curtain*
