A federal appeals court upheld the stay on gay marriages "while it considers the unconstitutionality" of the Prop 8 ban. Prior to the ruling, same-sex marriages were to resume in California starting tomorrow, August 18th, after a CA District Judge ruled to repeal the Prop 8 law. The tsunami of appeals isn't helping matters for gay couples wishing to legalize their unions. The CA ruling is sure to have a ripple affect across the states in one way or another.
