According to
US Weekly, Sherri's boo of more than a year, TV writer Lamar Sally, proposed in what was reportedly very romantic fashion. He surprised her the day after Christmas when she returned from a San Diego trip with a ring box in her M&M's bowl. But not before a friend helped him string the place with lights, put a Santa hat and beard on her dog, and ask her 5 year old son Jeffrey for permission. This was a surprise to us because on "The View" Sherri acts like she's single and desperate...but we guess that's her shtick. The couple is planning an August wedding in Chicago.
