We watched the Prince Tribute in its entirety and are uber impressed with the performances. Jonelle Monae turnt up Prince's "Let's Go Crazy", the amazing Esperanza Spalding (pic'd above) sang a sultry "If I Was Your Girlfriend" with guitar-like instrument in tow, Alicia Keys climbed and gyrated her pregnant self all over her piano during "Adore", and Patty closed it out by kicking her shoes off to "Purple Rain". Prince even teared up. And, gave only a slight side-eye. Haaha! You must watch to see for whom. Nevertheless, it's Aweeesommeee!  Sidebar: This tribute has NOTHING to do with that mess of a performance-- that butchering of "Purple Reign"-- by Trey Songz. That ish made us cringe, and even hide little. [BET]
       

THE BET AWARDS INVADED L.A. THIS WEEKEND...

The 10th annual BET Awards smashed through L.A. this weekend, and filmed yesterday at the Shrine auditorium. Admittedly, we didn't watch (other thangs to do!) but according to sources it was a hit. Queen Latifah hosted (assisted by her alter-ego Cleo from "Set it Off"), and there were performances galore from Drake, Eminem, Usher and Kanye, to Keisha Cole, Monica, and Nicki Minaj. We heard (Twitter) Chris Brown did the dang thing with his MJ tribute (tears and all... were they for MJ, or his career?), Alicia Keys glowed as she performed her last performance while pregnant, Prince received a lifetime achievement award, and El Debarge made a "comeback performance"?-- for those two alone it's worth a DVR look. Wait, there's more...

SPOTTED: ALICIA KEYS AND BEAU SWIZZ BEATS AT HEATHROW AIRPORT...

Alicia Keys and fiance', producer Swizz Beats, were spotted at London's Heathrow airport this morning. They look happy, yeah? The pregnancy rumors were "confirmed" on several blog sites but we have yet to read anything official, so as far as we're concerned it's still a rumor. However, time will tell. *Update* After back and forth comments (see below) from an (snotty know it all) anonymous commentor (and obv AK stan) we decided to call a colleague who blogs for Radar.com to confirm the "confirmation" made to People.com, which he since has (after making a call his friend at People). To our credit, he did agree that the article was shottily written, and we were right to question it. And, honestly, we didn't feel it was serious enough to for us to jump through hoops. Anyhoo, we agreed to digress if we were wrong, and we have. *sticks out tongue* Happy nowwww?!

At least gossip-blogger Sandra Rose says so. (Above) Alicia and her man, producer, Swiss Beats were spotted after her concert at London's O2 Arena last night. (Below) is one of the pics from a previous concert that had all the bloggers buzzing that the pregnancy rumors are, in fact, true.

For those of you who don't know, there has been long on-going drama about Alicia supposedly man-napping Swizz Beats from his now ex-wife Moshanda (also a singer) with whom Swizz has a very young son. Alicia's reputation has been under-fire in blog-world for being a "homewrecker" but do we really know what these people are truly going through? Seriously, folks. Let's cut it out.
