BETTY WHITE ROCKED SNL'S RATINGS, BEST NUMBERS IN 18 MONTHS (VIDEOS)

Eighty-eight year old Betty White broke the back off of SNL Saturday night. With the help of vets Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch and Ana Gasteyer. The ratings were the highest since those during the presidential campaign. Jay Z's performances probably didn't hurt either.

We didn't catch all of the skits but what we did see was funny... at least by SNL standards. Pop the Trunk (Keep Reading!) to watch her monologue and most of the skits. LOL @ her saying that Facebook is a huge waste of time. And, that she needs a Ouija Board to connect with old friends.

Congrats to Iron Mike for Being Voted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, He Deserves It!

This was announced back in February but we just heard Barbara Walters mention it when he was on the view last week and we wanted to re-announce it. To be inducted, a boxer must be retired for at least 5 years. Mike retired in 2005, so it's right on time. Anyone who says he doesn't deserve it, despite all his personal drama, is a fool. The weekend Hall of Fame ceremonies take place in June. Go Mike!

Speaking of his appearance on The View, it's worth watching. He tells Barbara that she "shanghaeid" him back in 1998 with the infamous Robin Givens interview. Good Stuff.

Pakistan Fires Nuclear Test Missiles, Urges World to Recognize It as a Legitimate Nuclear Power

According to a Huffingtonpost.com article, Pakistan successfully tested 2 missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.  The article explains that India is most likely its intended target as these nuclear-armed neighbors have been conducting tests routinely for well over a decade. Though, it is Pakistan which refuses to nonproliferation accords and is facing a nuclear trade ban. Instead of compliance, Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani instead urges world power "to recognize Pakistan as a dejure nuclear power with equal rights and responsibilities".

BRAVO FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT, "9 BY DESIGN" IS THE BEST REALITY SHOW SINCE...WELL, EVER!

Actually, Bravo calls "9 by Design" a docu-series,  not a "reality show", but whichever the case we love it! Even enough to dub the show The New Black! Meaning: Everyone should watch and then try to be like them! Lol! Robert and Cortney Novogratz are a husband and wife design team who also stay busy raising their 7(!) children:Wolfgang, 12, twins Bellamy and Tallulah, 10, Breaker, 8, twins Five, Holleder, 4 and Major, now 1(?). The kids are a very big part of the show, which gives it an edge that others don't because they are each so cool (did you check their names?). Example: Jon and Kate Plus 8 didn't have kick ass careers like the Novogratz's. And, this brood is just so much more interesting. Much, much more. And, unlike most reality tv shows today, it's clean enough for kids to watch, yet not cheesy, or boring.

However, we were especially interested in this year's competition after learning one of the favorites to win was Sydney's Candy, owned by diet mogul, Jenny Craig. We found it fascinating that Jenny Craig would own horses...champion race horses to boot. We know owning a horse is expensive, let alone a stable of champions. Jenny's pimp game is fierce. She basically has the likes of Kirsty Alley and Valerie Bertinelli paying her stable bills! How gangsta is that? Jenny Craig. Who knew?

So, R&B singer slash Rihanna beater, Chris Brown, chose his big public debut at Professional Boxing Match??? Is it just us? Or, is that crazy to everyone else too? He is still untangling his career from that debacle of a domestic abuse situation with pop star Rihanna, and he chooses to represent at the biggest fight so far this decade? AS VEGAS -- Floyd Mayweather Jr. is usually content to just win a fight. This time, though, Money Mayweather wanted to earn his cash.Fighting more aggressively than usual, Mayweather overcame a near knockdown in the second round Saturday night to dominate the rest of the way and win a lopsided 12-round decision over Shane Mosley in their welterweight showdown.
"I wanted to give the fans what they wanted to see, a toe-to-toe battle," Mayweather said. "It wasn't the same style for me but I wanted to be aggressive and I knew I could do it."

L.A. WATCH: May Day, May Day!, Prostest in Downtown L.A. Said to be Largest in Nation's History!

According to latimes.com, today's May Day Immigration Rally brought around 60,000 protesters to Downtown L.A.. Though said to be the largest in nation's history, it was only half of the number police expected.  An annual May 1st event celebrating worker's rights, this year's rally was dedicated to Arizona's new law, which forces police to question immigration status of anyone suspected of being an illegal immigrant. They may also detain those suspects who are unable to provide documentation to prove their citizenship status. The law is said to be a green light for racial profiling and people are pissed about it. As mentioned in a previous post, this is going to be a long, hard fight. We'll keep you posted on it.
